Trim material and size vary between styles. What is shown in the listing is what is available. Trims are sewn securely to the underside of the bandana and will hold up over time if properly cared for. If your pet is a frequent scratcher, has dry skin which causes scratching, a youngster in the chew-everything phase, or if your animal is just not accustomed to wearing bandanas yet, trim might not be the best option. These trims are made of everyday fabric and will stretch, rip, pull, or break when under stress (as will most clothing items). Some styles are more delicate than others and I highly recommend hand washing (in cold) any item that has trim. Try to avoid putting it in the hot dryer as well. Hang/air drying is the best way to keep the bandana and trim looking fresh.
